  • Management Information Systems (CIS 301)
  • Information Systems are one of the major tools available to business managers for achieving operational excellence, developing new products and services, improving decision making, and achieving competitive adavantage. This course covers the principles and applications of Information Systems and its management. It provides an overview of core concepts related to the emerging relationships between technology, the organization, and information management.

    The course book "Management Information Systems - Managing the Digital Firm by Laudon, KC and Laudon, JP (Publisher: Pearson)" offers full coverage of most up-todate and comprehensive overview of information systems used by business firms today. Real-world business cases provided as examples enriche the learning experience.

    Dr. Datta is teaching Computer Science Courses since May, 2000. His group is involved in various software developmental projects since more than 15 years. In addition, Dr. Datta often seeks collaboration, partnerships, and consultancy (see: DCG) for working on Biomedical Informatics, particularly on the Genome analysis for Precision Medicine.
