Courses most often I teach

Software Engineering Fundamentals (SEN601), Database Systems (CSC 640), Database design and Implementation (DAT 604), Data mining (ANA 615), etc. Moreover, I teach CSC 686 & 687, Computer Science Project I & II.

This month''s course
  • Project Management Fundamentals (EGR 440)
  • Prof. Datta is teaching Computer Science courses in National University (San Diego, CA) since May, 2000. He also developed some of those courses for teaching both onsite and online (using Blackboard; earlier using eCollege). Presently, he is teaching various courses for its Cybersecurity Program. Courses that he taught in the past: Informatics for Health Professionals (HSC 410; also developed for online), Network Services and Protocols (CIS 602), Introduction to Cybersecurity (CYB 206), Information Security Management (ITM 470), Management Information Systems (CIS301), Information Technology Project Management (ITM 325), IT Clients using MS Windows (ITM 340), Operating Systems (CSC 630), Database Systems (CSC 640), Data Mining Techniques (ANA 615), Programming Languages (CSC 650), Artificial Intelligence (CSC 660), PMX 800X, TMG 604, CST 601, CST 439, CST 437, CST 425ABC, CST 422C, ITM 310, CST205, and BIS401 (see the catalog for description)

Dr. Datta's group is involved in various software developmental projects since more than 15 years (see the list). In addition, he often seeks collaboration, partnerships, and consultancy (see: DCG) for working on Biomedical Informatics, particularly on the Genome analysis for Precision Medicine. See here for more on this initiative by NIH.

In addition, Dr. Datta often guides graduate level (MS) Computer Science students for their Capstone Projects (CSC 686/7). See here for some of those projects developed under his guidance. Also, see here for some of the projects of interests to address 21st Century's Grand Challengess in Engineering.
