Software Engineering Fundamentals (SEN601), Database Systems (CSC 640), Database design and Implementation (DAT 604), Data mining (ANA 615), etc. Moreover, I teach CSC 686 & 687, Computer Science Project I & II.

This course focuses on project management concepts and definitions, network, scheduling techniques, strategic planning, risk management, cost control, and project implementation.

The textbook "Project Management: Achieving Competitive Advantage, 4th Edition @2016 by Jeffrey K. Pinto", which is followed to teach this course emphasizes the fundamental aspects of a project management, which has become central to operations in industries as diverse as construction, information technology, architecture and hospitality, engineering and new product development. This textbook simultaneously embraces the general principles of project management while addressing specific examples across the wide assortment of its applications.This textbook takes a holistic, integrated approach to managing projects, exploring both technical and mangerial challenges. It not only emphasizes individual project execution, but also provides a strategic perspective, demonstrating the means with which to manage projects at both the program and portfolio levels. Moreover, this textbook highlights the latest developments and skills to help a student prepare for the Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) exams. While this textbook edition reflects content from the latest PMBOK Guide of the Project Management Institute (PMI), it goes well beyond the Guide to provide a meaningful context for project management.

Dr. Datta supervised the development of several IT projects used by the industries (see the list). These include the CHOIS or Childhood Obesity Informatics System that was used for the school health program in the State of Illinois; and FRC4YOU that was used by the National School District in National City (San Diego, CA). His consulting group provides software products (see: Portfolio) and supporting services to the organizations serving socialcare and healthcare.

Nevertheless, Dr. Datta seeks collaboration, partnerships, and consultancy (see: DCG) for working on Biomedical Informatics, particularly on the Genome analysis for Precision Medicine.
